Ambassadors of Christ: Breaking Free from Earthly Limitations

Lasting transformation in ministry comes from operating under heaven’s authority, not earthly power. John 6:63 reminds us that the Spirit gives life, while human effort is insufficient. Jesus modeled this by bringing heaven’s presence to earth, relying on divine direction. As ambassadors of Christ, believers are called to do the same—receiving supernatural discernment from the Holy Spirit. This insight helps distinguish genuine seekers from those with hidden motives, just as Jesus did. Ministry becomes truly effective when we shift from relying on our own strength to fully functioning as heaven’s representatives, accessing God’s unlimited resources and guidance.

Pastor Jones Britus is from Haiti, where English is his second language. He asks, "What makes the difference between a ministry that creates temporary change and a ministry that transforms lives forever?" The answer lies in where we operate.

Drawing from John 6:63, we explore the revolutionary concept that "it is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing." This isn't just a theological statement—it's a practical roadmap for effective ministry. Jesus didn't attempt to reach heaven from earth; instead, He brought heaven's presence to earth in everything He did.

Many believers limit their impact by relying on earthly authority, resources, and power. But as ambassadors of Christ, we're called to a different approach. Just as diplomatic ambassadors take directives from their home country, Christians are meant to operate under heaven's direction and authority. This heavenly perspective grants access to divine discernment, allowing us to recognize people's true intentions just as Jesus did throughout His ministry.

The Holy Spirit provides supernatural insight into those who come to genuinely seek God versus those who come to test, flatter, or oppose us. Jesus demonstrated this discernment repeatedly—from His encounters with religious leaders trying to trap Him to His knowledge of which disciples truly believed. That same discernment is available to every believer who chooses to operate from heaven rather than earth.

Ready to transform your ministry by shifting your operational base? Stop struggling with limited earthly approaches and start accessing the unlimited resources of heaven. Your effectiveness depends not on what you can accomplish in your own strength, but on how completely you function as heaven's representative on earth.

Pastor Jones Britus:

Today, I want to talk to you about operating from heaven. In John 6:63, the Bible says it is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.

Pastor Jones Britus:

Jesus' ministry was effective because he operated from heaven and not on the earth. If we want to have what impact in ministries, we must do likewise. Jesus told his disciples that they were in the world, but they were not on the world. They were not of the world. By this statement, he was urging them to pay attention to heaven. And heaven is not a place whose gates are shut awaiting resurrected saints. It is an active place whose influence on the earth is strong. Jesus taught his disciples to pray to the Father and Heaven.

Pastor Jones Britus:

So many believers operated from the earth by depending on earthly authority, earthly resources and earthly power. This way of operating has limited and temporary effects. We are supposed to operate from heaven by depending on heavenly authority, heavenly resources and heavenly power. Resources and heavenly power Halfly ambassadors that take directive from the country ambassadors of Christ, our authority come of origin. We are the ambassador s from heaven. So those who are in the spirit operate from heaven and those who are in the flesh operate from the earth. This is the reason that the scripture says 6: John 6 63 it is the Spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.

Pastor Jones Britus:

In John 6: 21- 23, the scripture says our fathers ate the manna and assuredly the desert. As it is written, he gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said to them, most assuredly, I say to you Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but Moses did not give you the word from heaven. But Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but my father gives you the through bread from heaven John 6:28,38 is He who comes down from heaven and gives to the world. For I have come down from Heaven and to do my own will, but the will of him to send me. So God created us to do his own will, not our will.

Pastor Jones Britus:

Our Christian is a representative of the Spirit. Each to live by the Spirit. When Christ spoke about G Hod H H HGod, I can say Christ Heaven is here. Jesus did not try to reach heaven from the . He Heaven the extension of heavenly presence to the earth Heaven, Anytime people operate the Word of Heaven.

Pastor Jones Britus:

In John 5: 20, 26, and 27, Jesus explained and operated in the audacity of the Holy Ghost. Luke operate and Jesus' authenticity comes from the Word of God. And when there was operates, shortage of bread, jesus knew what he would do. And apart from apart from knowing what he Jesus Jknew, he also knew when knew knew and knew who dot him and the one who would betray him, according to John 6, verse 20, verse 63, 2 and 64. So Jesus knew those who dot him and the one who would betray him, because Jesus, jesus operated from heaven. This is the reason the Christian has to operate from heaven and um.

Pastor Jones Britus:

The specificity of the Holy Ghost is to know. The Holy Ghost permits us to know the people who come to you. According to Acts 8: 9 to 9- 8, 11, 18 8: The Holy 18- us to the he people who meet, every people you meet in your life, and the church and the world and anywhere, and those who come to take all you. The Holy Ghost show you the people who come to tackle you, for example, people who come to you to applaud you and make you feel good about yourself. According to John 2, verse yourself, a 23 ccording. I am 2: read this 23- 2, verse 23 to 25. Now, when he was in 2: the Passover, 23- feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs, which he did. But Jesus did not commit himself to them because he knew what was in man. The Jesus know everyone who come to him and the Christian can know, can equally know knows people, who, the people they meet, because they are led by the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost. And the Holy Ghost shows you the people who come to attend you.

Pastor Jones Britus:

Matthew 22, verse 16 to 18.

Pastor Jones Britus:

What these are saying? And Jesus said to them yes, have you never read? Then he left them and went out of the city to be to Bethany. And he looked there now in the morning and he, as he returned to the city, he was it's we. This is I read the one word there and I'm going to read Matthew 22, verse 16 to 18., verse 16.

Pastor Jones Britus:

And they said to him verse 16. And they said to him, the disciple with the urchin saying Teacher, we know that you are true and teach and did the way of God and truth. Nor do you care about anyone, for you do not regard the person of man. Tell us, therefore, that do you think? Is it lawful to pay tax to Caesar or not? But 22: the weakness 16- why do 18, you hypocrites? Show me the tax money. So they brought him a denier and the scripture said that Jesus know people who come to attempt to attempt him. And the Christian, equally, can see or can know the people who come to him to attempt him, who come to attempt Because we are. The Christian is a disciple of Christ, christ is. Christ appeared from heaven, even though we are not Christ, but we are His disciple and we have capacity. We have capacity to know the people who come to our temple because, as a Christian, we are operating from heaven.

Pastor Jones Britus:

In Matthew 16,. In Matthew 16, verse 16 to 19,. The Bible says the Holy Ghost shows you, shows all Christians, shows the Jesus, those who come to team, team with you. I'm going to read this scripture Matthew 16, verses 16-19. And Simon Peter answered and said you are the Christ, the son of the living God. Jesus answered. Jesus answered and said to him blessed are you, simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father, who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this walk I will build my church. And on this walk I will build my church and the gates of hate shall not fever against it, and I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you lose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Amen. So Jesus, can Jesus know the people will come to him to make team with him?

Pastor Jones Britus:

As a Christian, we have to know the people who come to team up with you and this is the reason in John 6 the main verse for the sermon today. John 6, verse 63, it is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profit nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life. So every Christian is an ambassador of Christ. As an ambassador, he has to lead by the Holy Ghost in everything he do. In the ministry of God. As the representative of grace, we have the Spirit, we have the Holy Ghost and we have to operate like Him. So, because the ministry of God is not a simple ministry, it is God is not a simple ministry, it is leading by the Holy Spirit. So all Christians have to lead by the Holy Spirit, because we are an ambassador of Christ. May God bless you.
